Aligning deep nature connection and primitive bushcraft with the 13 Archetypes of the Amazonian Arts
Sharing and immersing myself in rewilding, wild crafting, primitive skills and elemental nature awareness is a huge passion of mine and for me one of the core aspects of healing the divine feminine and in extension the divine masculine, our culture and our beautiful planet.
We are nature! Our bodies are nature, and in being embodied we are reclaiming our birth right and original belonging. Primal Feminine Rewilding Workshops and Retreats give you the safe haven to explore and engage with your deep ancestral roots, awakening that which has been asleep for too long.
As women living in a modern society, we’ve often been told not to listen to that voice deep within.
The one that tells you to dance to the beat of your own drum.
That reminds you that you are a sacred embodiment of the earth.
And you deserve to claim all parts of yourself – the shadow and the light – to live authentically in your truth.
But here you are, listening to that voice. The voice of your primal feminine energy.
And here is your invitation to get to know her even better, embrace your whole self, and reignite your relationship with the land in a retreat tailored to you.
Depending on your chosen Warrioress Archetype (free Warrioress mapping included) or personal interests, you might learn:
Sourcing, processing and weaving natural fires into quivers, baskets and more
Primitive shelter and fire-making by hand (hand and bow drill)
Hand-crafting and training with weapons such as bows, slings, staffs and spears
Hand-crafting and playing instruments such as drums, rattles and sistrums
Making primitively-fired local earth amulets, beads and small ceremonial vessels
Moon dancing, drum journeys, chanting, spells and fire ceremony
Intimate nature connection exercises like basic bird language, camouflage and Sit Spots and more
Although we are likely to resonate with one archetype strongly, we are ultimately all of them. And by exploring them all, we can explore and reclaim different parts of ourselves – even those that feel lost to us. When we combine this exploration with embodied, nature-based skills, it can show us how powerful we really are.
It’s not always easy.
At times it may be uncomfortable.
You might feel nervous or unsure.
But throughout your Rewilding Retreat you will be lovingly held as you let go of your doubts, extend your zone of comfort and embrace your primal feminine instincts.
Rewilding Retreats are by request only and can be completely tailored to suit you.
They can run from one to six days and you are welcome to come on your own for a 1:1 experience, join a group retreat or bring up to six women with you to create your own tribe.
Prices are roughly $33-$111 per day per person, depending on group size, financial situation, and content. The inclusion of natural plant dyes and dyed fibres is a bit more expensive than primitive fire for example.
There is something magical about spending time with like-minded sisters experiencing nature in new and courageous ways, and those who join in on group retreats can expect to feel a deep connection and bond with the other participants.
For those wanting to stay overnight, there is ample camping space available, just bring your own tent, cutlery and sleeping supplies. Otherwise, you can sleep by the fire in a tipi with other women or in a primitive bush shelter.
The retreats are held in the lush forests and waterways of Kalang, NSW on ancient Gumbaynggirr Land.
